Noss Boat Tours

NBT are a company that provide boat tours round the Isle of Noss, off the coast of Shetland. The island is famed for it’s wildlife, particularly its bird colonies, though dolphins, whales and otters are also commonly sighted among other wildlife. The brief was fairly open, although it was stated they didn’t want a gannet as part of the logo as this would clash with a rival tour company.

The puffin is an iconic bird because of their brightly coloured beaks and one of the main attractions for a lot of visitors so I decided to use this for inspiration. Sailing is also a prominent part of Shetland life and the logo hints at sails billowing under a strong wind - something else Shetland is no stranger to...
